Website Development

*Note - Make sure you register your Domain Name as your first priority. There are several companies who provide this service. Our domain is registered through NetRegistry.

1. Initial consultation

The initial consultation is an information-gathering exercise which sees a representative of Motor Media meeting with the client to gain an understanding of their company, its market and where the website fits into its overall marketing strategy.

2. Solutions presentation

Upon giving consideration to your individual requirements, we will respond with a proposed web design 'solution' and a cost estimate based on the information gathered previously. This will be detailed on a 'commencement agreement' form.

3. Authorisation to commence

When you are satisfied to proceed with the project, we will require your signed authorisation to commence - Sign the commencement agreement and fax it back to us.

4. Finalisation of content structure

Before commencement of development, it is imperative that we have in hand the final, approved 'site plan'. This would usually be in the form of a Word document, laid out with an index page (home page) listing all sections within the site with a page devoted to each of those sections. Bookmarks should indicate placement of any photographs/images.

5. Supply of content

With a final, agreed 'structure' for the site, you must now supply all necessary content, including images, text, logos, colour schemes etc. In doing so, it is important to pay attention to optimising the content for search engines in the process and to supply us with meta-tags.

6. Development and approval of 'static' artwork

The first stage in development is to produce the 'static' artwork - that is, to produce and gain approval of the visual components of the site as non-interactive still images. This will usually be a screenshot of the home page / navigation bars and any other unique pages.

7. Construction of 'working' site

With approval of the 'look & feel', we will now proceed to do the programming behind the artwork to make it interactive. We will also build the 'structure' of the site by inserting and linking all necessary pages as per the storyboard.

8. Insertion of content

At this stage, the site is ready for insertion of all content. It is imperative that all content we have received is in its final, edited form.

9. Final approval and upload

The site is now fully interactive and complete with all content. It will be presented to you for final inspection and approval. Time should be taken to carefully proof-read all content. Upon final approval, we will upload the site to your designated URL.
